PRIVACY NOTICE 7-P

Records and retention

Privacy notice

The short version: we keep a first name and a recording for up to 90 days, we never build a profile, and we sell nothing about anyone.

What we collect

The first name you type. It is the product: the office reads it aloud in the recording. If you add a phonetic respelling so it is said correctly, we keep that too. Both are attached to the order file and to nothing else.

One cookie. A random device token that ties your files and credits to the phone or computer you ordered from. There are no accounts, and the token contains nothing about you. It is the only cookie we set, and no third party sets any here.

Payment records, held by Stripe.Checkout happens on Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your card details and email and sends your receipt. We never see your card number, and we do not store your email. What Stripe passes back to us is an order reference and which product you bought. Your child’s name is never sent to Stripe, in any field, ever.

Name-free counts. We record that an order happened and for which scenario, so we know what parents like. These counts contain no names and no way to reach one.

Where it goes

Three service providers do work for us: a hosting and storage provider runs the site and holds the order files, a professional voice synthesis service receives the first name as text to speak and nothing else, and Stripe handles payment. That is the whole list. We use no advertising pixels and no third-party analytics, and no data broker has ever heard of us.

How long we keep it

Recordings, names, and order files are deleted within 90 days of filing, enforced by an automatic sweep, not a policy memo. Family Pass name slots are kept while your pass can still be used, so the four-name cap works. If you joined the routing list, your email stays at Stripe until you ask off the list.

Children

Belief and Company is a service for adults. A recording is made because a parent ordered it for their kid, and it plays on the parent’s device. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child: there are no child accounts, no chat, and no forms addressed to children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Your controls

Refunds are self-serve; the refund schedule has the details. If you want a file and its name deleted before the 90-day sweep, write to hello@beliefandcompany.com and a person will do it.

Effective August 10, 2026. Questions to hello@beliefandcompany.com.
